What Are the Requirements For Signing a Will in Florida?


The requirements for signing a will in Florida are that the Sunshine State resident must sign the will at the end of the document in the presence of at least two witnesses who are both present at the same time and place as the person making the will and who also sign the will as witnesses. Of all the legal documents prepared by lawyers, wills still require the most formality in signing. The will of a Florida decedent that is not signed in accordance with the requirements of Florida law is void. Florida Statutes Section 732.502.
