What distinguishes unintentional injury from intentional injury?

When the courts assess an injury, one of their initial considerations is whether it is intentional or unintentional. Differentiating between the two is straightforward. For example, if someone delivered a blow to your face, it would be categorized as an intentional injury. On the other hand, if a person accidentally broke your nose while swinging their arms widely, it would be deemed unintentional.
