What happens if you text while driving in Florida?

You can be pulled over if a police officer reasonably believes you were texting while driving. A first offense leads to a $30 fine, a second offense results in a $60 fine and three points on your driving record. Penalties can be increased if you text and drive near school or active road work zones.
